A new group of 16 aspiring hospitality professionals has been selected to participate in the Dart Hospitality Training Programme, a four-month paid initiative designed to equip young Caymanians with the skills, experience and professional development needed for successful careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Since launching in 2022, the programme has provided more than 50 participants with unparalleled real-world experience, hands-on training and career development opportunities across Dart’s portfolio of hospitality properties. Many graduates of the programme have transitioned into full-time hospitality roles and continue to advance professionally within the industry.

The 2026 Dart Hospitality Training Programme cohort includes Aidan Anderson, India Bush, Destiny Campbell-Ulett, Arelis Carter, Akeleah Cole, Deionte Dixon, Kaydin Ebanks, Zaiydah Ebanks, Catalinna Hernandez, Melony Herrera, Jayden Lynch, Alaysha Moncrieffe, Antwoine Powell, Alyk Smith, Kimora Smith and Josia Wilson.

“We have an incredible group of young Caymanians who are eager to begin their careers in hospitality,” said Dianne Conolly, Dart’s hospitality programme manager. “We look forward to supporting them as they build the skills, confidence and experience needed to success in this dynamic industry.”

Participants will complete a six-week rotational training programme across key hospitality functions, including guest services, food and beverage service, recreation operations, housekeeping, maintenance and other essential support areas. Training will take place across Dart’s hospitality portfolio, including Bonny Moon Beach Club, Hampton by Hilton Grand Cayman, Hotel Indigo® Grand Cayman, Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa and The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Participants are guided through the technical skills and operational knowledge required for their chosen career pathway with an additional eight weeks of position-specific training in areas such as Front Desk/Reception, Food & Beverage Service, Pool, Beach and Recreation Operations, as well as back-of-house departments including Maintenance, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage Support.

In partnership with Lynn University, participants will complete an intensive employability training programme focused on creating exceptional guest experiences, embracing a service-oriented mindset and understanding the principles of hospitality excellence. Participants gain valuable insights into effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, workplace readiness, professional development and other essential soft skills, all within the unique context of hospitality and tourism.

In addition, trainees receive specialised hospitality service training through the Academy of Wines & Spirits, covering key service competencies such as guest engagement, order taking, upselling techniques and conflict resolution. Participants also benefit from training delivered by the Department of Tourism, including the Know Your Cayman Islands and PRIDE programmes, which enhance their knowledge of the Cayman Islands as a destination.
